Children are not allowed to travel alone to Russia, Kosovo, Bosnia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Turkey, Morocco, United Arab Emirates and Egypt.
Children must show their passport when travelling to and from Norway. Passengers on Norwegian flights are charged per occupied seat. Infants less than 2 years travel free of charge on domestic flights if sitting on the lap of an accompanying adult and pay 10% of the adult fare on international flights plus any additional airport taxes etc. An adult can travel with up to two infants, but is then required to purchase an additional seat and travel with a baby seat.
Children aged 2 years and less than 11 years qualify for a child discount on flights when accompanied by an adult over 16 years. To obtain a child’s discount, the child’s age must be given when making a reservation, as well as whether the child will be travelling unaccompanied or with an adult over 16 years of age or older.
Unaccompanied minors must book a flight a minimum of 48 hours before departure through our Customer Centre on 815 21 815 press 2 or + 47 21 49 00 15 press 2 (if outside Norway). A fee of NOK 216/EUR 28 per leg will be charged on domestic flights (incl.VAT) and NOK 300/EUR 43 per leg on international flights. Reservations cannot be made by e-mail and are not permitted less than 48 hours before departure. Norwegian does not sell connecting flights for children traveling alone.
Teenagers aged 16 years or older are considered adults and we do not offer this age group any special assistance. Children aged between 12 and 16 years on the date of their return trip may travel alone or order assistance, if parents or guardians specifically request this. Unaccompanied minors in this age group pay the applicable adult fare for a flight. Children aged between 2 and 11 years travelling with an adult aged 16 or older qualify for a child’s fare (equivalent to 75% of the adult fare).
Children under 12 years on the date of their return flight, or single flight if flying one way, must book as children. A child’s age must either be entered online when booking a flight or our Customer Centre informed directly on 815 21 815 press 2 or +47 21 49 00 15 press 2 (if outside Norway).
